Bezel Setting Tools Set of 18 in Wood Box

Our lowest priced bezel setting tools, These Value Line bezel setting tools are ideal for tube setting. Pick the right size to smoothly and easily close round bezels and tube settings. For tube settings choose heavy walled tubing 0.5 mm larger than the stone. Then use a setting burr exactly the size of the stone to cut the seat. For example if the stone is a 3 mm round faceted stone pick a heavy walled tubing that is 3.5 mm OD (outside diameter), or even a bit larger (up to 3.8 mm OD). Then cut the seat with a 3 mm setting bur. Seat the stone then burnish the bezel with one of these appropriate size setting tools. Set includes one handle with an adjustable chuck for securing the tools for use.  Made in India. Just like our more expensive European sets, these tools will benefit from smoothing the inside of the tools with abrasive points. These punches are made of carbon steel, a superior metal for toughness compared to stainless steel.  Since carbon steel will naturally rust, at some point these tools will rust. To remove rust using fine sandpaper or abrasive tools.  To prevent rust use a light coating of machine to protect the surface. This set contains 18 Setting Tools in the following metric sizes: 0.75mm 1mm 1.25mm  1.5mm 1.75mm 2mm 2.25mm 2.5mm 2.75mm 3mm 3.25mm 3.5mm 4mm 4.5mm  5mm 5.5mm 6.5mm 7.75mm   Product Note:  Bezel Punching Tools We suggest that you take some time to inspect and polish if necessary the insides of your bezel punching tools before use.  A super smooth and polished interior finish will not mar settings. We recommend this for all bezel setting tools we sell. This set has nicely finished interiors but there is no jewelry tool that can't be improved on by the user. Bullet point (Part # 110.342) or similar shaped polishers can be used.
