Twenty-five-year-old Alora is set to be married in picturesque Romania to her dream man, Cal. He is a wealthy CEO from New York and seemingly perfect in nearly every way. Her life is finally coming together, and she couldn't be happier. That is–until she’s murdered. She awakens in the dark caves of another world and quickly realizes she is not alone in the darkness. This world is not like Earth, and she comes face-to-face with monsters and those with supernatural powers who want to hunt her. She finds herself falling in love with the people of this new world–feeling more at home than in her previous life. As she tries to adjust to her new life, it becomes obvious that fate has played a role and that a life of comfort will not be an option. She is forced to become stronger and learn how to survive. Rune, the dark and brooding man who makes it very clear that he hates her, is assigned to train her. Will they tear each other apart or learn to work together? Just when she thinks things cannot be worse, she discovers that a tyrant rules over this world, and he’s on a mission to destroy her. Can she survive the hunt? Will she become strong enough? How will she protect those she loves? But the question she wants to know most of all… Is she destined to save this new world, or will she die trying?
