Valentin Long Sword

Meet the Valentin Long Sword, a truly unique and enticing blade that beckons you to explore the world of medieval swordsmanship. This sparring sword promises to be a reliable companion for your next historical or fantasy adventure. Authentic Craftsmanship Forged by hand from spring steel, this fully functional sword is designed to withstand the rigors of stage and theatrical combat. This fully functional weapon boasts a full tang and blunted edges for a safer design without compromising its profile. Having a full tang means the metal blade extends into the handle as one piece, giving it greater strength and balance. Spring steel means this sword is forged from steel that has higher amounts of carbon, giving it a higher level of elasticity and resilience. The double-edged unsharpened blade has wide fuller down the length. This fuller not only removes excess weight from the blade, it also bolsters the cutting edge. At the end, the tip is round for added safety. Please note this sword is handmade, meaning it may vary slightly in color and shape. Keep in mind that any minor notches along the blade are not defects in the combat sword’s design, but are the result of resistance testing. Moving down the length, the hilt has a truly unique crossguard. Instead of a traditional crossguard, this one flares out perpendicular to the blade. Each quillon resembles an axe head, rotated ninety degrees away from the blade for a distinct style. The wooden handle has grooves to secure your grip. Like a long arming sword from medieval history, this handle accommodates a one-handed grip. At the bottom, the Valentin sword has a disc-shaped pommel.
