Founded in 1962, Vail was the vision of founder Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton. Seibert, a veteran of the 10th Mountain Division trained at Camp Hale, ran the business. Once the first lifts were put in place in 1962, Vail rapidly grew to become the most iconic ski resorts in Colorado.
