Vagrant Coat - Weed

The Vagrant Coat is a roomy oversized shell jacket made from a water-resistant cotton fabric from the UK. It's cut with a big hood, double-breasted placket, and a removable belt around the waist to adjust the silhouette, allowing for easy layering underneath while keeping you dry and comfortable. The neck is also cut tall, and provides additional coverage from wind and the elements when buttoned closed. On top of all the obvious details, it also features a unique strap configuration inside the jacket that allows the entire thing to be taken off and worn around the shoulders like a backpack — permitting you to cool off or let the fabric hang dry without needing to wear or carry it. Beyond that, it's got two pockets for you hands, and military-style urea buttons at all the button-points. It's made from an oiled 100% cotton fabric from British Millerain, a world-renowned manufacturer of oiled and waxed fabrics since 1880. This particular fabric is the flagship of Black Sign's "oiled cotton" series, finished with the mill's proprietary (and secret) solvent for water resistance, additionally imbuing the fabric with a unique texture that will patina dramatically over time, forming "chalk marks" and creases with wear. Slightly stiff at first, it's a pleasantly sturdy and robust fabric that will also relax with time, taking the shape of the wearer's body. Fits true to size.
