Verus V8C Center Channel Speaker

The center channel is arguably the most important speaker in a home theater system. From delicate whispers to chain-reaction explosions, most of what you hear in a movie happens at the center of your screen. So at the heart of your high-end home theater system, you need a speaker that delivers extremely accurate vocals and full-range sound reproduction. The APERION® Verus III Concert Dual 8" Center Channel speaker covers the middle ground admirably, bringing on-screen action to life in mid-size and larger rooms. But be prepared for the one-two punch of amazing sound and gorgeous looks. We’re considering a whiplash warning. The punchline to a joke, the lyrics to a song, the subtle sounds that propel a plot—what else have you been missing? Nada will be the answer with the Verus Concert Dual 8" Center Channel speaker. We’ve fine-tuned our award-winning vertical array design to improve dispersion, ensuring a wide net of sound that envelops every seat in your house. The incredible sonic clarity of our refined Axially Stabilized Radiator™ V2 tweeter, paired with our two 4" woven Kevlar midrange speakers, faithfully reproduces the voices and upper range on-screen. Two Kevlar 8" woofers dynamically handle the lows and give depth to all dialog and action sound effects. And all these components fit into a gracefully curved cabinet with hidden rubber feet—so you can set the Verus III Grand Center Channel at the best angle to enhance your room’s sweet spot or the speaker’s stellar looks.   Specifications Frequency Response: (+/- 3dB) 35-35,000 Hz Impedance: 4 Ohms Sensitivity:  92 dB Recommended Power: 20-200 Watts Peak Power: 400 Watts Tweeter: 1.1" Custom Aperion ASR Tweeter with ferrofluid Midrange: Two 4" Woven Kevlar Midrange Drivers with Aluminum Phase Plug Woofer: Two 8" Woven Kevlar Woofers with PVC Dust Cap and Rubber Surrounds Driver Configuration: 3-Way Enclosure Type: Anti-Resonant, Internally Braced, Sealed Product Weight: 53.6 lbs/24.3 Kg Product Dimensions: 10.6" H (withno rubber feet) x 31" W x 13" D/269mm H x 784mm W x 330mm D Placement Location: Center Channel Speaker Shipping Weight: 64.4 lbs/29.2 Kg Shipping Dimensions: 37.4" x 18.5" x 15.4"/950mm x 470mm x 390mm (LxWxH) Features Patented 1.1" ASR Tweeter Our design objectives required a tweeter that permits a lower crossover frequency in order to unburden the midrange cones above 2.6 kHz, where they tend to beam. To address this conundrum, we went to the drawing board with the goal of developing a tweeter with a diaphragm that resists “rocking” near its resonant frequency. By pinning the diaphragm’s center in a plane above the voice coil, it became “axially stabilized,” which minimizes unwanted distortion. The silk dome is coated in a specially developed damping compound to ensure a smooth and accurate response with controlled resonance. The refined "wishbone" waveguide has resulted in better output, with more uniform frequency response and wider dispersion across its operating range. The ferrofluid cooled voice-coil is driven by a high-energy ferrite magnet motor.   Dual 8" Kevlar Long-Throw Woofer The strength of Kevlar gives our woofers a trio of advantages: even dispersion, enhanced acoustics and bulletproof reliability. Add extra-long voice coils to decrease distortion and you’ve got the low bass you love. With woofers powerful enough to drive all but bottom-feeding frequencies without a dedicated subwoofer, you’ll find Verus’ bass response truly earth-shaking.   Dual 4" Kevlar Midrange Driver The midrange driver with aluminum phase plug increases the Verus line’s power handling and dynamic range, filling the middle of the sonic spectrum. By recreating the full harmonics of a singer’s voice, the Verus Grand speakers produce vocals as rich as the Rockefellers.   Advanced Crossover Time-intensive iterative designing and fine-tuning of the crossover networks have resulted in a smoother, more neutral, and better balanced frequency response across the whole range. Enhanced phase integration between the tweeter and midrange drivers have also resulted in a cleaner, more open sound in the transition regions. The Verus III employs superior customized components, which include high quality thin film capacitors to provide minimum dielectric loss, customized Aperion internal wiring with spade connectors to make upgrading a breeze, and we even went as far as customizing the PCB board with an Aperion red color to represent our love of great sounding audio! High Frequency Adjustment The Verus III Concert Center own a high frequency adjustment to compensate the high frequency when the speaker is placed behind a projection screen. These subtle yet effective customizations allow V8C to perform at it's optimal level in various configurations   Vertical Array Design We engineered our vertical array center to provide flawless center channel performance no matter where you're sitting in the room. Our vertical array design makes every seat in the house perfect, so every member of your family can enjoy the crisp, clear dialog and sound without having to rock-paper-scissors over who’s sitting in the center of the couch.   5-way gold-plated binding posts The 5-way gold-plated binding posts let you connect your speakers any which way you choose: bare wire, banana plugs, spades, round pins or flat pins. Not only does the gold plating give your system some bling, it also serves a more practical purpose: to resist corrosion and provide the best possible connection to your receiver.   Furniture-Grade Finish To protect the speaker innards from accidents, pets or curious fingers, the entire Verus line sports a lightweight magnetic grille which can easily be removed when you want to show off your beautiful speakers to friends and family.   Key Features Patented 28mm Aperion Axially Stabilized Radiator™ V.2 Silk Dome Tweeter Treble Mod to allow for a -3 dB cut in the high frequency range Two 4" Woven-Kevlar® Midrange Drivers w/ Aluminum Phase Plugs Two 8" woven Kevlar® Woofers w/ Butyl Rubber Surrounds Aperion Customized Internal Wiring Aperion Customized Crossover Network Anti-Resonant, Internally Braced, Ultra-Thick HDF Cabinet Walls 3-way Driver Configuration 12 Gauge Binding Post Straps Furniture-Grade Gloss Cherry Veneer or Gloss Piano Black Finish Beautifully Curved Cabinet Blends Well w/ Any Furniture & Room Design Lightweight Magnetic Grille Package Contents: Verus V8C Center Speaker x One (1) Pcs Manual x One (1) Pcs Polish Cloth x One (1) Pcs Gloves x Two (2) Pcs Rubber Wedge Feet x Two (2) Pcs Download: Verus Manual V8C CAD Drawing Complete Your Sound System Solution These products work great with Verus 8C Center Channel Speaker    Multiple options, One Seamless Sound  Power Up With Energy Amplifiers!   The Perfect Atmos Additon!   Low Frequency Extension In Matching Finishes!
