V.I.P.

Thirteen-year-old Yitzy Blackton loves riding his bike, flying his super-cool kite — and being the center of attention. But all of his showing off gets him into trouble: his best buddy snubs him, his baseball coach is annoyed, and the class bully won’t leave him alone. No one believes Yitzy can back down and become a team player. Yehuda Cahn, talented author of The Runaway, presents a lighthearted tale about putting others first, even when it’s hard. Will Yitzy — with his corny jokes and good intentions that don’t always work out — ever manage to stop being a VIP? "We’ve all known that kid who thinks that the world revolves around him and often forgets that his words can have a negative impact on others. V.I.P. shares the story of one such 13-year-old who learns valuable lessons about thinking of others and letting someone else have his moment in the spotlight.
