Professional Performance Moisture is great for healthy skin—but it's one of the biggest enemies of long-lasting nail enhancements. Natural oils and moisture on the nail plate can prevent acrylics, gel polish, builder gel, and dip powder from bonding properly, leading to premature lifting and peeling. V Beauty Pure Nail Prep Dehydrator temporarily removes these contaminants, creating a perfectly clean surface for maximum product adhesion. The result is stronger retention, fewer lifting issues, and longer-lasting manicures that both professionals and clients can rely on. What Does a Nail Dehydrator Do? A nail dehydrator is a professional prep product formulated to temporarily remove moisture and natural oils from the surface of the natural nail. Unlike a primer, it does not act as an adhesive. Instead, it creates a clean, oil-free nail plate that allows primers, base coats, acrylics, and gels to bond more effectively. Think of it as preparing the canvas before applying the artwork. Nail Dehydrator vs. Nail Primer Although they are often confused, these products serve two different purposes. Nail Dehydrator Removes moisture and natural oils Cleans the nail plate Creates a dry, oil-free surface Used before primer Essential for improving product retention Nail Primer Applied after the dehydrator Chemically prepares the keratin surface Promotes stronger bonding between the natural nail and enhancement Acts like an adhesive bridge for acrylics and gels For maximum retention, professionals typically use both products together. Remove all filing dust using a lint-free wipe. Apply one thin coat of V Beauty Pure Nail Prep Dehydrator to the natural nail plate. Allow the product to air dry. It will evaporate within seconds, leaving the nail clean and matte. Apply your nail primer (if required), followed by your base coat or enhancement system. For best performance, apply products within 10 minutes, as natural moisture and oils will gradually return to the nail surface. Storage Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excessive heat, and open flames.
