Uva Ursi Leaf

Uva Ursi folium, also known as bearberry leaf, is used in Zen's Uric acid tea blend Gout-B-Gone. Uva Ursi leaves are one of three herbs used in this blend. The berries are tasty to bears and so when the plant was named in Latin uva-ursi, this was taken into consideration; uva, "grape, berry of the vine", ursi, "bear", i.e. "bear's grape". But Uva ursi tea is generally made using the leaves of the plant rather than the sour berries.  Taste Uva Ursi leaves have an earthy taste.  What this tea can do This herbal product is used for urinary infection symptom relief, infections of the kidney, bladder, or urethra (urinary tract infections or UTIs), and swelling (inflammation) of the urinary tract. It contains arbutin, a chemical compound, which belongs to the glycosides and hydroquinones.
