Sony a7R V Mirrorless Camera

Sony a7R V Mirrorless Digital Camera (Body Only) Next-Generation 61MP High-Resolution Titan Driven by Artificial Intelligence The Sony a7R V represents an intelligent evolution in high-resolution mirrorless photography and cinematic video acquisition. Engineered for creators who demand absolute detail, this fifth-generation flagship pairs an incredible 61MP full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor with the ultra-powerful BIONZ XR image processing pipeline. The standard-setting upgrade of the a7R V is its dedicated hardware AI Processing Unit, which drives an advanced Real-Time Recognition autofocus system capable of deep-learning subject identification. Outfitted with an 8-stop in-body image stabilization network, uncompressed 8K 24p video capabilities, a class-defining 9.44m-dot EVF, and a revolutionary 4-axis multi-angle LCD screen, the a7R V merges extreme resolution with flagship reliability for studio elite, commercial artists, and landscape purists alike. 61MP Back-Illuminated Sensor & BIONZ XR Processing 61MP Full-Frame Exmor R BSI CMOS Sensor: Features a back-illuminated design that maximizes light harvesting efficiency to blend breathtaking fine detail with high image clarity, minimal noise floors, and an impressive 15-stop dynamic range. High-speed copper wiring layers accelerate data transmission to output uncompressed 14-bit RAW files. 8x Faster BIONZ XR Processing Engine: Driven by an updated processing architecture that delivers an 8x boost over previous generations. This rapid calculation capacity effortlessly manages dense AI analytics, reduces rolling shutter artifacts, and processes massive imaging files instantly. Expanded ISO Sensitivity Range: Operates across a versatile native sensitivity spectrum from ISO 100 to 32,000, which can be fully expanded down to ISO 50 for ultra-bright studio strobe matching or up to ISO 102,400 for challenging low-light tracking. 10 fps Continuous Bursts with Full AF/AE: Fires continuous action sequences at up to 10 frames per second using either a mechanical or electronic shutter with uninterrupted real-time autofocus and auto-exposure tracking. The expanded internal buffer sustains bursts for up to 583 consecutive compressed RAW frames or over 1,000 full-resolution JPEGs. 240.8MP Pixel Shift Multi Shooting: For static architectural and fine-art archiving, the sensor-shift mechanism takes 16 consecutive exposures while minutely shifting the sensor. Merging these frames via Sony Imaging software builds an outstanding 240.8-megapixel super-resolution file (19,008 x 12,672 pixels) with absolute color accuracy. Hardware AI Processing Unit & Deep Learning Autofocus Dedicated Deep Learning Hardware Engine: Incorporates a standalone AI processing unit that uses artificial intelligence to interpret subject form, posture, and environmental data, transforming autofocus tracking into a highly predictive system. Real-Time Recognition AF Targeting: The hybrid system deploys a dense 693 phase-detection point grid covering 79% of the full-frame area, introducing deep-learning classification across seven distinct selectable subject profiles: Human: Employs advanced human pose estimation to read body, torso, and head geometry. It maintains a pinpoint lock even if a subject turns around or someone crosses the frame, boosting Real-Time Eye AF precision by 60%. Animal & Bird: Tracks pets and wildlife with 40% greater accuracy, pinpointing focus on the animal’s eyes, head, or torso. Insect: Pinpoints the heads or entire physical structures of tiny macro subjects. Vehicles & Aircraft: Detects the front cabs of fast-moving trains, the noses of airplanes, or the profiles of race cars. Low-Light Focus Down to -4 EV: Focuses reliably in dim environments down to a near-black -4 EV threshold, available across all custom video and photo profiles. In-Camera Focus Bracketing: Automatically captures up to 299 consecutive frames while incrementally shifting focus zones, allowing shooters to easily composite macro shots with deep depth-of-field in post-production. Flagship 8-Stop Image Stabilization & Advanced Color Control Class-Leading 8-Stop 5-Axis IBIS: The revised in-body image stabilization system uses high-precision gyro sensors and optimized tracking algorithms to compensate for up to 8 stops of physical camera shake, facilitating crisp handheld shooting at slow shutter speeds. Active IS & Lens-Coordinated Stabilization: For video recording, Active IS mode combines optical adjustments with advanced digital algorithms to deliver smooth, gimbal-like footage. The camera body communicates dynamically with select OSS-enabled lenses to maximize corner stabilization. 20% More Accurate Auto-Exposure Matrix: An updated AE algorithm isolates human skin zones in real time, balancing facial exposures with 20% greater accuracy under harsh backlighting or direct sunlight. S-Cinetone Cinematic Color Science: Inherited from Sony’s high-end Cinema Line, this profile delivers gorgeous, natural mid-tones, soft facial rendering, and beautifully rolled-off highlights straight out of the camera, blending with scripts shot on the FX6 or VENICE. Broad Log & HLG Gamma Workspace: Supports professional grading workflows with S-Log3 and S-Log2 gamma curves to unlock 15+ stops of dynamic range. It also features 10-bit Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG) compliance inside the BT.2020 color gamut for direct HDR playback. Cinematic 8K Resolution & 10-Bit Internal Video UHD 8K 24p and 4K 60p High-Bitrate Capture: Records pristine UHD 8K 24p or UHD 4K 60p video using 10-bit XAVC HS (HEVC/H.265) encoding at smaller bitrates, or high-bandwidth XAVC S-I Intraframe compression for consistent editing performance. Full-sensor readouts bypass pixel binning to deliver incredible structural sharpness. 6.2K Oversampled Super 35 Recording: Toggles into a Super 35mm crop mode to output oversampled 4K video from a 6.2K capture block, maximizing edge resolution and minimizing moiré. 16-Bit RAW External Output via HDMI: Streams clean 16-bit RAW video data up to 4K 60p out of a full-sized HDMI Type-A port, enabling premium uncompressed tonal grading on external field recorders while simultaneously saving 4K proxies internally. 120 fps High-Speed Full HD: Captures Full HD footage at up to 120 frames per second, enabling smooth 4x and 5x slow-motion playback curves when formatted to standard 24p or 30p timelines. Cinema-Tier Focusing Assist Software Suite: Focus Map Overlays: Visually maps depth of field using color-coded graphics to show what zones sit in front of or behind the focus plane. AF Assist Control: Inherited from the FX6, this lets operators twist the manual focus ring at any moment during auto tracking to execute immediate, selective rack focus adjustments.
