Ideal for medium to larger trout waters or light steelhead and bass applications, the CFO IV maintains the same timeless design and dependable performance that define the CFO series—ventilated spool, anodized aluminum frame, and a crisp, click-and-pawl drag system that provides just the right amount of resistance for lighter tippets. Built by Hardy during Orvis’s golden era of reels, the English-made CFO IV combines traditional aesthetics with rugged functionality. It offers a perfect balance for longer rods and slightly heavier setups, while still retaining the refined feel and simplicity that have made the CFO line a fly fishing classic. For anglers who appreciate vintage craftsmanship with a bit more capacity, the CFO IV stands out as a versatile, elegant workhorse.
