Used Matchless 30/15 Combo

Used Matchless 30/15 Combo Serial Number: F00097 Condition: Excellent condition, amp shows little to no wear aside from a few small blemishes in the tolex. The Matchless 30/15 Combo is a hand-wired, single-channel boutique tube amp delivering the crystalline chime and dynamic, three-dimensional voice that made Matchless a benchmark for boutique tone, and this excellent-condition example (Serial #F00097) shows little to no wear aside from a few small blemishes in the tolex. Driven by a quad of EL84 power tubes, the 30/15 offers switchable 30- or 15-watt output, so you can run the full-power chime and headroom for a loud stage or drop to 15 watts to push the power section into sweet, saturated breakup at studio and club volumes. That EL84 heart gives the amp its signature glassy sparkle and singing overdrive, all voiced through a 12" Matchless Special Design Celestion speaker built to complement the circuit. The control layout is elegantly simple and deeply musical — Volume, Tone, and Master Volume — putting everything you need within easy reach and letting your guitar and touch do the talking. The Master Volume in particular makes the switchable wattage even more useful, giving you real control over how hard the EL84s are working at any volume. A single 1/4" input keeps the front panel clean, while the amp's genuine musicality rewards a dynamic, expressive playing style with a wide, touch-sensitive response. Around back, a built-in effects loop makes it easy to run time-based and modulation pedals in the amp's sweet spot, and selectable 4/8/16-ohm outputs let you pair the 30/15 with virtually any extension cabinet as your rig evolves. From shimmering, dimensional cleans to the chime-laden breakup EL84s are famous for, this combo covers the ground that has made Matchless legendary among discerning players. At 62.9 lbs., it's a substantial, road-ready piece built to anchor a serious rig. Whether you're a gigging player who wants chime and cut with switchable power, a studio owner chasing that unmistakable Matchless voice, or a collector drawn to the brand's hand-wired pedigree, the 30/15 delivers (Serial #F00097).
