Allflex USDA 840 HDX (Half Duplex) Ultra EID Tags, 50 Count

Allflex USDA 840 HDX (Half Duplex) Ultra EID Tags, 50 ct Allflex USDA 840 HDX Ultra EID Tags offer premium performance and durability for livestock identification. These tamperproof, ISO-compliant ear tags use advanced Half Duplex (HDX) technology to deliver superior signal strength and the longest possible read range - ideal for walk-through readers and packing plants. These HDX EID tags are compliant with Federal Animal Disease Traceability regulations and help verify that animals were born in the USA. Each tag includes a unique 15-digit ID number linked to your Premise ID, stored in the NAIS database. HDX vs. FDX Technology: HDX (Half Duplex) and FDX (Full Duplex) tags differ in how they transmit data. HDX tags send data only after fully receiving power, resulting in a longer read range and better signal reliability - ideal for automated systems and environments with signal interference. FDX tags transmit data continuously and offer faster reads at shorter distances, making them more suitable for handheld readers or up-close scanning. While FDX tags are often used for feeder cattle, HDX tags are preferred for operations requiring precise, consistent reads from greater distances and potential interference. Features: USDA 840-approved official ID for interstate transport and traceability HDX (Half Duplex) technology for maximum read distance Tamperproof Ultra Cap™ ensures secure, long-lasting retention Reusable tag design helps reduce per-animal EID costs Laser-etched 15-digit transponder number in circular format ISO compliant and compatible with most electronic scales and livestock software Lightweight (8.5 grams) and durable construction White color for high visibility Directions: Apply using the Allflex Universal Total Tagger (Y3A2) with the clip removed, or the Ultra Retractomatic Applicator (Y3E1).
