USAutomatic Ranger HD Dual-Swing Gate Operator Kit 115V

Dual Swing Gate Operator for Residential and Light Commercial Use The USAutomatic Ranger HD 2 (020517) is a battery-powered dual swing gate operator for residential, light commercial, farm, and ranch applications. Two 12 VDC linear actuators, each with a 24-inch stroke, drive independent gate leaves up to 16 feet and 800 pounds per gate, including ornamental iron, chain link, and ranch-style configurations. Gate travel runs approximately 12 seconds per leaf. The system charges a sealed 12V battery through the included 115V AC adapter, rated at 20 VDC / 1.2A, supporting up to 575 operating cycles per day. During a power outage, the battery sustains operation for several weeks at fewer than 20 cycles per day before requiring attention. Key Features Two 12 VDC linear actuators, each with a 24-inch stroke, for gates up to 16 ft and 800 lbs per gate 115V AC adapter charges battery; rated for up to 575 cycles per day with battery backup sustaining operation for several weeks during outages at low cycle demand ETL listed by Intertek to current UL325 standards, Class I through Class IV Type A inherent entrapment protection; onboard monitoring for Type B1 photo eye and Type B2 contact edge Through-beam photo eye kit included; meets second entrapment requirement for standard swing gate installations Sequenced dual gate operation: Gate 1 opens first, Gate 2 closes first, with a 1.5-second delay for overlapping gate and electric lock compatibility PWM adaptive soft start and soft stop; eight adjustable speed settings LCR 433.92 MHz dual-channel receiver; stores up to 42 codes; 2 transmitters included Wi-Fi app module compatible (PN 030223, sold separately) Manufactured in the USA; 3-year warranty on all components Technical Specifications SKU: 020517 Gate Capacity: Up to 16 ft and 800 lbs per gate Actuators: Two 12 VDC, 24-inch stroke linear actuators (PN 510006 x2) Gate Opening Speed: Approximately 12 seconds per leaf Gate Sequence: Gate 2 opens last, closes first; 1.5-second delay Power Source: 115V AC adapter, 20 VDC / 1.2A output (PN 520009, included) AC Cycle Capacity: Up to 575 cycles per day Battery: 12V battery not included Interconnect Cable: 40 ft 7-conductor dual gate actuator cable (PN 630020, included) Receiver Frequency: 433.92 MHz Transmitters Included: 2 x LCR 2-button (PN 030210) Receiver Capacity: 42 unique transmitter codes UL325 Classification: Class I, II, III, IV (ETL listed) Control Board: PN 500027 Warranty: 3 years Manufacturer: USAutomatic, LLC - Lewisville, TX Country of Origin: Made in the USA Condition: New Available Models 020517: Standard cabinet 020521: Metal cabinet Installation Notes A 12V sealed maintenance-free battery, 30 Ah minimum, is required and not included. Wet cell batteries must not be installed inside the control box. The included adapter cable is 10 feet; extendable to 100 feet with 18 AWG wire or up to 250 feet with 16 AWG wire using extension pigtails (PN 630038). The adapter must be installed indoors or in a rain-tight enclosure. A surge protector and GFCI circuit are recommended on all 115V AC installations. For locations without grid power access, see the solar model (SKU 020519). Conclusion The Ranger HD 2 (020517) operates two gate leaves from a single control board and battery system. If only one gate leaf is involved, the single gate model (020516) is the appropriate selection. The 1.5-second gate sequence is fixed and applies whenever the electric gate lock or overlapping gate dipswitch is active, so confirm your gate configuration is compatible before installation. For locations without grid power access, the solar dual model (020519) runs on the same platform with a 10-watt solar panel in place of the AC adapter. Cut Sheet Installation / User Manual
