This version of Ice Warning Sign mimics a US highways hazard sign. It's design is a representation based on the US Federal Highway Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices. Energy Efficient No Mains Supply Needed Battery Included Advanced Temperature Sensor Size: 400mm x 400mm Diamond Shape  This sign requires no mains power supply, instead there are 6 industrial grade AA batteries included in the weather sealed compartment located at the rear of the sign. These batteries can quickly and easily be replaced at any time with AA batteries of your choosing. Follow this link for instructions on replacement (link for attached pdf AA battery instructions) When switching on the sign self-tests all functions by first flashing the ambient temperature, then there is a 5 minute demo sequence followed by the operational mode. The unit utilizes internal batteries to flash bright blue LEDs whenever the temperature falls below 3°C (approx. 37 degrees Fahrenheit). it is fully automatic and has no moving parts. No mains power is necessary and the sign unit is manufactured from 3mm recyclable polycarbonate. When switching on the sign self-tests all functions by first flashing the ambient temperature, then there is a 5 minute demo sequence followed by the operational mode. The patent-protected design uses state-of-the-art PIC chip technology, with ultra-low power consumption requiring no mains supply. It has no moving parts and is fully weather sealed, making it both robust and reliable. Minimum maintenance is required just replace the batteries every few years depending on the harshness of the winter season. Note: Final image is to illustrate flashing light technology only.
