What You Need to Get Started To create the right environment for worms, you'll need a carbon-rich bedding material along with your food scraps. Recommended bedding options include: Low-salt worm coco coir (2 bricks recommended) Shredded cardboard Newspaper or paper bedding Peat moss Coco coir is one of the easiest bedding materials to use because it expands when hydrated, holds moisture well, and helps maintain healthy airflow in the worm bin. Worm Feeding Tips Start slowly while the worm ecosystem develops Avoid meat and dairy products Worms love fruit and vegetable scraps like banana peels, apple cores, and melon rinds Add twice as much bedding as food waste to maintain balance Specifications Dimensions: 27" × 27" × 30" tall Fabric: 900D Oxford with breathable liner Frame: Lightweight iron frame Capacity: 120+ lbs of vermicompost Warranty: Lifetime materials and workmanship Turn kitchen scraps into living soil, use worm castings to feed your garden beds and grow stronger pepper plants from seed to harvest.
