UP-200 Coil Spring KB-070

The KB-070 coil spring is an OEM replacement part specified for the KUPA UP-200 / UG12 high-speed handpiece. It is used to apply controlled tension in one of the handpiece’s internal assemblies (such as the front bearing or spindle preload region), helping maintain correct alignment and smooth rotation. Features Restores the correct preload or tension in the handpiece’s rotating or axial interface, which can reduce vibration, bit wobble or premature bearing wear. Helps maintain tool performance and longevity by ensuring the internal assembly remains properly tensioned and aligned. OEM-specified part ensures correct fit, dimensions and performance for the intended handpiece model. Dimensions: Diameter: 6.7 mm; Length: 22.3 mm. Material: Metal (high-speed rated)  Application: Internal tension/preload spring for UP-200 / UG12 series handpiece. Installation Tips Confirm your handpiece’s service diagram or parts list shows part # KB-070. Inspect the existing spring (if accessible) to verify dimensions roughly match (6.7 mm diameter × 22.3 mm length). Inspect adjacent components (bearings, spindle housing, front nose) for wear—if the surrounding components are worn, replacing just the spring may not restore full optimal performance. Power off and unplug the handpiece; allow it to fully stop. Disassemble the relevant section (front housing/spindle/preload area) to access the spring. Remove the old spring, clean any debris or metal shavings. Insert the new KB-070 spring ensuring it sits correctly and is not twisted or misaligned. Re-assemble the handpiece, then perform a no-load (no bit) test at low speed to verify smooth rotation and minimal vibration before full use.
