In Your Hands was composed by time as much as it was by the artist’s hand. Excited by the unpredictability and rawness of creating a painting, Arran Rahimian uses reclaimed book covers in his work, some over a century old. Time, then, creates subtle yet profound compositional studies on each work. “I am fascinated by the mystery behind each reclaimed book cover, dating as far back as early 1900. These books have aged and through time create subtle yet profound compositional studies.”
