The Anvil Birds Eye Sashiko - Light Indigo

Fitted 3D panel shirt jacket. Indigo dyed 10oz Japanese Birds Eye Sashiko fabric, chest and side pockets, pen holder, cat eye buttons, lined collar and cuffs. Made in USA. This season Kato is offering The Anvil Shirt Jacket in Birds Eye Sashiko. The word Sashiko means “little stabs”. It is a reference to the needle movements in the stitching technique used to mend and reinforce clothing in Japan since the 1600s. The “Birds Eye” weave is a version of Sashiko that gets its name from the dotted pattern created by the contrast of white stitching over the traditional rope-dyed indigo fabric. The indigo will eventually fade with wear like a selvedge denim jacket. This 10oz Sashiko fabric is perfectly suited for a lightweight spring/summer jacket and showcases a uniquely patterned surface while maintaining a soft feel. 100% Cotton Size S M L XL XXL Chest 21" 22" 23 1/4" 24 1/2" 26 1/2" Shoulders 18 1/2" 19" 19 5/8" 20 1/4" 21 1/4" Front Length 28 7/8" 29 1/2" 30 1/8" 30 3/4" 31 3/8" Sleeve Length 26 3/8" 27" 27 5/8" 28 1/4" 28 5/8"
