DESCRIPTION Gouache and pastel on paper | 2018  Inspired by a fascination and a lack of understanding with the functionality and inner workings of her own body, Elrod translates the internal into abstract works that reference landscapes and romantic architecture. The idea of going beneath the skin is meant to carry many meanings and ask questions around the ‘universal’ experience of living in a body.
