Financing Options available!! Learn More Portable Laser Welding, Cutting & Cleaning System Laser technology has advanced rapidly over the last decade, shifting away from large, stationary CO₂ laser systems that often cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and require extensive infrastructure. Modern fiber laser welding systems now deliver superior precision, speed, and efficiency in a compact, portable format—making industrial-grade laser welding accessible to small shops, fabrication facilities, and mobile applications. The Merica2000™ represents the next generation of handheld fiber laser welders, engineered for high performance, portability, and ease of use in light- to medium-gauge metal fabrication.  Advanced Fiber Laser Welding Technology Fiber lasers are quickly becoming the industry standard for precision welding, offering unmatched beam quality, minimal heat-affected zones (HAZ), and exceptional weld consistency. Compared to traditional MIG or TIG welding, fiber laser welding provides: Extremely narrow, clean weld seams Reduced distortion and post-processing Faster welding speeds Minimal consumables Excellent results on stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, and galvanized materials Still relatively new to widespread commercial use, fiber laser welding systems are widely regarded as the future of metal joining technology. Lightweight, Air-Cooled Design – No Chiller Required Unlike many 2000-watt fiber laser welders that rely on large, water-cooled chillers and weigh 600 lbs or more, the Merica2000™ utilizes an innovative air-cooled architecture. Key advantages of the air-cooled system include: No external water chiller Significantly reduced system weight Smaller footprint for tight shop spaces Simplified setup and maintenance Improved portability for mobile or field work A high-volume cooling fan and high-temperature-rated laser diodes allow the Merica2000™ to deliver reliable output while maintaining a compact form factor. All-in-One Welding, Cutting & Laser Cleaning The Merica2000™ is a multi-function fiber laser system, capable of: Laser Welding – Precision joining with minimal heat input Laser Cutting – Thin-gauge metal trimming and edge work Laser Cleaning / Descaling – Removal of rust, paint, oxidation, and surface contaminants This versatility makes the Merica2000™ an ideal solution for fabrication shops, maintenance departments, automotive work, stainless steel finishing, and repair applications. Ergonomic Handheld Laser Gun & Smart Controls Designed with operator comfort and safety in mind, the Merica2000™ features: Ergonomic handheld laser welding gun Integrated safety interlocks Detachable full-color touchscreen LCD interface Intuitive parameter adjustment Synchronizing wire feeder for consistent filler delivery The system is designed for manual operation only and is not intended for automated or CNC-controlled applications.  Technical Specifications (Summary) Laser Type: Fiber Laser Output Power: 2000 Watts Cooling Method: Air-Cooled Functions: Weld / Cut / Clean Operation: Manual handheld Control Interface: Detachable color LCD touchscreen Wire Feeding: Integrated synchronized wire feeder Laser Wavelength: ~1080 nm IMPORTANT SAFETY & REGULATORY NOTICE This product is a Class 4 industrial laser system. Improper use can result in serious injury or property damage. All laser equipment sold and operated in the United States is subject to FDA regulations, as well as applicable OSHA and ANSI standards related to laser welding, cutting, and cleaning. Class 4 lasers represent the highest hazard category. Formal laser safety training, proper shielding, and controlled work environments are required. Operators must use laser safety eyewear specifically rated for the 1080 nm wavelength. Standard welding helmets or cutting shades are not suitable. Purchase and operation of this laser system may require registration with local or state authorities. Buyers are responsible for verifying compliance prior to purchase. Businesses using laser equipment may be required to follow additional ANSI laser safety standards, appoint a Laser Safety Officer (LSO), and provide documented training to operators and nearby personnel. Independent laser safety certification providers offer online and in-person training. Costs and requirements vary by provider. Buyers should confirm with their insurance provider that laser welding operations are covered once all training and compliance requirements are met. Built for the Future of Metal Fabrication The Merica2000™ delivers industrial-grade fiber laser welding performance in a lightweight, air-cooled, portable platform—eliminating the complexity and cost barriers traditionally associated with laser systems in this power class. For shops seeking speed, precision, versatility, and modern laser capability without the burden of large water-cooled systems, the Merica2000™ is a forward-looking solution engineered for real-world fabrication environments.
