Machzor Rosh HaShana - Sefard

This groundbreaking sefer is the first—and only—comprehensive collection of the Rishonim’s commentaries on the tefilos and piyutim of Rosh Hashana, based on a wealth of previously unpublished manuscripts. For centuries, many of the profound tefilos and poetic piyutim of Rosh Hashana have remained difficult to access. Their depth is immense, but their language and structure often obscure their meaning. Until now, most available explanations have come from the Acharonim, leaving a gap in our understanding of these powerful prayers. For the first time, this volume brings together the words of the Rishonim themselves—the earliest and most authoritative commentators—on the prayers and piyutim of Rosh Hashana. These foundational insights open the door to a new level of understanding and connection to the tefilos of this sacred day. This sefer will elevate your Rosh Hashana by enabling you to daven with depth, clarity, and historical awareness. With the voices of the Rishonim guiding your tefilah, every word comes alive with meaning. Also included in this comprehensive edition: - The Minhagim of the Rokeach on Rosh Hashana - The Meyuchas Peirush of the Rokeach on Tefilas Aleinu - The complete comments of Rav Yehuda Hachasid on Rosh Hashana - The missing pages of “Sefer Kushyos” relevant to Rosh Hashana Every section has been painstakingly edited based on manuscripts, with extensive footnotes for clarity and context. The text is laid out in a clear, user-friendly format, making it ideal both for learning and for davening. Whether used in preparation for Rosh Hashana or as a companion during davening itself, this sefer gives you access to the spiritual and intellectual depth of Rosh Hashana as seen through the eyes of the Rishonim.
