“Untitled 2” by Nathan Hemi, Pastel & Charcoal on Paper

16" x 22" Original Artwork  Pastel & Charcoal on Paper ______________ Biography: Im Nathan Hemi and im a self-taught contemporary figurative artist based in New Zealand.  Im inspired by emotional and gestural expressions of the human figure, the subconscious mind and the fusion between man and technology (Transhumanism). My work is an attempt at taping into the subconscious mind by creating without a premeditated idea to try and lift the veil and reveal something deep within, its a form of therapy for me. My inspirations are the basis of recurring themes throughout my work. I dont like to title any of my work as i want the viewer to have their own experience without tarnishing it with a title. I work in pastel, charcoal, gouache and metal leafing.
