Untamed Soul

Untamed Soul — Jay Bryant Ward | Wabi Sabi CollectionA black horse surges forward with unmistakable force — and then, beautifully, begins to dissolve. Untamed Soul captures a powerful stallion in full gallop, rendered in rich ink washes and meticulous fine line work against a warm cream ground. The figure is fully realized on the right, every muscle and sinew present, before the form opens into sweeping abstract washes of black, grey, and sepia. Mane and tail unravel into gestural brushstrokes and smoke-like wisps — the boundary between animal and atmosphere made visible. This mixed-media work by Jay Bryant Ward belongs to the Wabi Sabi Collection, a body of work that finds beauty in transience, tension between the defined and the undefined, the controlled and the free. The wide horizontal format makes it ideally suited as a focal wall installation in a living room, study, executive office, or great room. Available in gallery-quality fine art prints. Printed on archival materials to preserve the depth of the ink washes and the warmth of the cream tones for decades to come.
