Souchong Supreme | Unsmoked Lapsang | Organic

For those who admire the depth of a fine black tea but prefer clarity over "campfire smoke," this unsmoked Lapsang Souchong offers a beautifully refined alternative. Smooth and elegant, it opens with gentle notes of caramel and dried raisin, unfolding into a rounded sweetness that lingers softly on the palate. The texture is supple, the finish clean—making it an ideal everyday black tea with quiet sophistication. Traditionally, Lapsang Souchong is known for its distinctive pine-smoked character. However, in its place of origin in China, the smoked and unsmoked styles are recognized as two distinct teas. 正山小种 (Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong) – the original, unsmoked style 烟小种 (Yan Xiao Zhong) – the smoked version (烟 meaning “smoke”) The unsmoked version reflects the pure expression of the leaf—without smoke—allowing the natural sweetness and depth of this historic black tea to shine through. A wonderful choice for those who appreciate structure, warmth, and nuance in their cup.
