"Unintended Consequences," this 60" x 24" glazed ceramic piece features a detailed sculptural human eye with three descending teardrops, the last touching the floor. The dark-shaded eye showcases meticulous detail in the iris and eyelid. Subtle figures within the iris and drops add layers of meaning, emphasizing themes of sadness and introspection. This composition uses simplicity to convey deep emotion, inviting viewers to reflect on the broader emotional impact. The creation of this artwork was driven by contemplations on the unintended consequences of actions taken…decisions that cause significant, though often overlooked, harm. The unique ceramic shapes and expert glazing techniques bring out the figures contained within the different components, making this piece both visually captivating and thought-provoking. This piece reflects the artist's reaction to the events of 2020. The measurements are after installation. The 60" height may vary depending on how much distance is between the eye and the teardrop on the floor. A template for installation is included. $800 to Ship anywhere in the U.S. (except Alaska and Hawaii), (will be added during checkout). Shipping outside our shipping zone?
