This lovely hand-stitched tapestry created by Night Thocan, Threads of Blessing artist, measures 14 x 9 inches. Stitched in a predominantly cool color palette, Night offers a glimpse of everyday life in Uganda. Seated outside a family compound, a woman feeds chickens, while clothes dry on the line. Mountains and a beautiful blue and white textured sky complete the scene. Night lives in Erussi, a small village nestled in the mountains of northwest Uganda that is very close to the Congo. “I thank God for this opportunity God has given me to be a member of Threads of Blessing. He loves me so much. This program teaches me how to save. I use the money for my children’s school fees. I had to pay for the burial of my sister. I have five children.
