Unfolding Universe Mandala -- Brass Pendant

This is mandala of my own design. It features five concentric stars of increasing complexity, functioning as a lens to either broaden or focus your perception. Meditate on this mandala to guide yourself towards a state of balance and harmony: At the center is a pentagram, a symbol of the body; five points representing the four elements with the fifth 'spirit' presiding over them. Surrounding this is the hexagram, representing the 'fixed stars' or firmament. Next is the heptagram, which refers to the 'seven days' of the earth's creation, the second septagram representing the seven celestial bodies known to the alchemists: Luna, Sol, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn. At the outermost boarders the octogram, a star made from two overlapping squares, a Gnostic symbol of duality in balance: Chaos and order, design and destruction, perfection and ruin.
