Underfoot: On the Climate, by Ehlayna Napolitano

Poetry, chapbook, 32 pages, from Bottlecap Features. The shared project of living on Earth is work that we must do in community with one another — the only way we can truly live, rather than remain paralyzed by despair. Primarily concerned with this theme, Underfoot explores a range of emotions and politics related to climate change. Shifting between anxiety, anger, hope, and love, these poems are both a salve and a call to action. How can we strengthen our communities and find inspiration therein? How can we fight the capitalist forces that pull us apart and destroy our environment? Can we live — not just survive? Ehlayna Napolitano is a poet, writer, and editor from Providence, Rhode Island. Her previous work includes the chapbooks Penelope in the Morning (tenderness lit, 2018) and everything& (Vegetarian Alcoholic Press, 2020).
