Under the Spell

Mountains are thought to contain divine inspiration, and are the focus of transcendence and spiritual elevation. It symbolizes escape, freedom and adventure. They symbolize constancy and permanence and at their peak signify the state of absolute consciousness. The hardest mountain of all is the one within. We are all searching for life’s purpose and becoming the best version of ourselves… but often this seems impossible. This painting is a reminder that the only thing holding you back is yourself. When you desire a change—in yourself, your lifestyle, your career, and so on—but are too afraid to act, this internal conflict creates a barrier between who you are and who you want to be. Let this painting be a reminder and a symbol to help you achieve your goals. The only thing holding you back is yourself….YOU are the mountain (...We moved to the San Juan Islands in 2020.. a move that came with the desire to be closer to family, nature, and a better life for the kids. We were under the spell and still are! )
