Under the Same Sky 36x60

A group of seven figures stands shoulder to shoulder, rendered in deep olive, umber, and shadow against a pale, weathered ground. Their faces are loosely suggested rather than defined — individual enough to feel like real people, blurred enough that any one of us could stand among them. Long triangular shadows stretch beneath their feet, anchoring the group to a shared patch of light. As the closing piece of the Under the Same Sky series, this painting brings the show's themes full circle: a crowd that is neither anonymous nor fully known, standing together under the same light, the same sky, the same quiet uncertainty of being seen.
