Under a Sunflower Moon

Autographed paperback copies available! Under a Sunflower Moon covers memories of The Cherokee Trail of Tears from 1838 up to modern times of Cherokee life in Oklahoma. Stories and poems share personal experiences of joy, sorrows, beliefs, ways of life and death, and survival. With a deep spiritual guidance, Jackie Kraft beautifully presents her memories through stories and poems. "This is far more than a collection of poems. This is a moving set of stories and poems about an episode of American cultural history called the 'Trail of Tears'. The motifs of loss and the endurance of the human spirit are painted with a truly caring touch and artistry in this insightful work." "Heartbreakingly beautiful. It moved me to tears. The stories and poems of the Cherokee way of life along the trail of tears to modern day are filled with expressive love, pain, and strength. This book is just incredible and deserves a place on all shelves forever. And I love the cover!"
