Un corazón de oro - Level 1 - Spanish Reader by Fabiola Canale

Marcus is excited when he finds out that his cousin LJ and family are moving to his hometown. LJ is 17 years old and Marcus, who is only 11 years old, really looks up to him. LJ is athletic, fun, and has (as everyone says) a heart of gold. Marcus and his best friend Mia cannot wait to spend time with him. Throughout the book, LJ does in fact devote a lot of time to his little cousin and his best friend, while also showing them what it means to be a nice person and kind to others. This book was written for students learning Spanish, in order to give them the opportunity to read an exciting, fun, and uplifting story. It is written entirely in the target language. This book will help students develop their vocabulary skills while also providing them with guided reading questions, as well as a complete vocabulary list. In addition, students are given a challenge at the end of each chapter. They are asked to go out and prove that they, too, have un corazón de oro by completing simple acts of kindness for their family, friends, school, or community. The book is based on the lives and actions of real people. Level 1 Unique Words: 317 Total Words: 5,064 Glossary: yes Tenses: mostly present ©2023. Spanish. 5 x 7 inches. Softcover, 64 pages.
