Craig Mathews of Blue Ribbon Flies designed the Bonefish Bitters to imitate small crabs or sea urchins, especially found on turtle grass or coral surfaces. Initially called "Pop's Bonefish Bitters" in honor of a renowned guide from Turneffe Atoll, this fly is essential for anyone fishing there. While indispensable for bonefish and permit at Turneffe, its effectiveness extends to a variety of fishing locations.
