The Umpqua Darth Baetis is a highly realistic nymph pattern designed to imitate Baetis (Blue-Winged Olive) mayfly nymphs. It's tied by signature tyer Greg Garcia, who based the fly on the reddish heads of male baetis nymphs he observed in stomach samples, believing this was what the fish were keying in on.
