Ultra-Pure Lubricants

Check out our guide to brass instrument lubricants. Ultra-Pure Oils started in 1990 with custom blends of synthetic oils to develop the ideal lubricant for valves: Fast, light, and super-smooth with a little silky feel to it. Long-lasting and odorless. No build-up or staining. Fast-forward to today and you can find Ultra-Pure products in fine music stores and online shops the world over. Ultra-Pure Oils LLC is a family-owned and operated business. They care about the environment and recycle all their waste cardboard, plastic bottles, and any waste oils.  Please remember to reuse or wash and recycle your bottle when it is empty. ***** Ultra-Pure Trombone Slide Lube - Alessi Formula - has a really wonderful glide on all types of slides. It lasts a long time and does not gum up or leave residues. It has a fast, smooth feel that you will love! Nicely water-repellent and can be replenished with a little water mist. Used and endorsed by Joseph Alessi, Principal Trombone of the New York Philharmonic. See usage info for instructions. ***** Ultra-Pure Black Label "Classic" Valve Oil is a little thicker than standard valve oil and is designed for older horns with worn pistons or rotors.  The thicker oil helps fill in the space between the valve and the casing and allows the valve to operate without any sticking.  If you have an older instrument with worn valves, give Black Label "Classic" a try! ***** Ultra-Pure Formula 1-3 Tuning Slide Oil is just the perfect weight synthetic oil for your 1st and 3rd tuning slides and triggers (trumpet, cornet, flugelhorn, etc.)  This oil allows you to make effortless and fast adjustments to pitch.  Apply a drop or two each week to the slides. ***** Ultra-Pure Light Bearing Oil is used to oil the rotating bearings on the top and bottom of rotary valves. It is thicker than Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil and is just the right weight to lubricate the bearings. If your bearings are older or worn, then use Ultra-Pure Linkage, Lever & Key oil. ***** Ultra-Pure Linkage, Lever and Key Oil is used for rotary valve mechanical linkages, ball joints, levers, keys, triggers, etc. It is excellent on all threaded parts, such as valve cap threads and threaded bells. Use also as woodwind key oil for clarinet, saxaphone, flute, oboe, bassoon, etc.  Since it is a thicker oil, it will last a very long time and will protect metal-to-metal joints. ***** Ultra-Pure Professional Valve Oil has a fast, light, and silky-smooth feel that players love. It is synthetic, odorless, and very long-lasting.  Our Professional valve oil is the standard weight and is perfect for most instruments. It works well on pistons and rotors. This style bottle does not have a child-resistant cap and is intended for households without small children.
