Ultimate Battery Terminal

KnuKonceptz studied countless car battery terminals designed for premium car audio systems while developing the Ultimate Battery Terminal. Our top priority was a bulletproof battery post clamping system that would never fail. Using cross dowels that can be replaced on the fly created just that. Solid brass pins are inserted through the bottom of the UBT-840, should the installer cross thread or over tighten, these pins are easily removed and the terminal safely restored to functional in seconds. In addition to a never-failing clamping system, the UBT-840 allows for instant OEM integration via the optional Top Post Adapters (sold separately) offered in both vertical and horizontal orientations. Installed in seconds, this adapter allows installers to use the vehicles OEM battery cable, which is great news for car enthusiasts who lease their vehicles. ALWAYS check the installation area for clearance when modifying the height and width of the battery connection! The UBT-840 also holds a variety of cable sizes by set screws and the optional ring terminal port. Access to the three set screws is from the bottom of the terminal. Each UBT-840 accepts one each 1/0, 4 gauge and 8 gauge wire. These screws are accessible even after the insulated color coded cover is in place. Like all automotive battery terminals, the UBT-840 is made to SAE specifications, which means that the positive and negative terminals are machined to different diameters. This is a reverse polarity safety feature so that installers cannot tighten a negative terminal onto a positive battery post and cause serious damaged to vehicle electronics.
