ULA Vulcan

The Estes ULA Vulcan is a striking 1:100 scale model of United Launch Alliance’s next-generation heavy-lift rocket. Designed for hobbyist launches, this model rocket faithfully captures the visual essence of the real Vulcan with its sleek profile, detailed graphics, and iconic silhouette. From the Centaur-inspired upper section to the sculpted side structures, it’s a display-worthy tribute to modern American aerospace engineering. Ready to Launch, Built to Impress Perfect for beginners, the Vulcan requires only minimal assembly and is ready for the launch pad in just three easy steps. Simply swap out the included display components for flight-ready parts, load your recommended engine, and you're set for takeoff. It’s compatible with Estes D12-3 and E12-4 engines, soaring to an estimated altitude of 300 feet. Dual Purpose Display + Launch More than just a flying model, the ULA Vulcan doubles as a premium display piece. The included desktop stand and mock display engines allow you to proudly showcase the rocket at home or in the office. Whether on a shelf or in the sky, this rocket delivers on style and performance. Its bold design, featuring ULA branding and a stylized flame motif, ensures it turns heads wherever it’s placed. Precision Recovery with Dual-Parachutes The ULA Vulcan features a uniquely engineered two-parachute recovery system that ensures both safety and spectacle. A 24-inch parachute gently lowers the main body of the rocket, while a separate 9-inch chute independently recovers the detachable nose cone. This staged descent not only adds realism to every launch but also improves landing stability and minimizes damage on touchdown. Designed to mirror real-world recovery systems, this dual deployment enhances performance and recovery success—especially in wide, open launch fields. Fully compliant with NAR safety standards and compatible with Estes E Launch Controllers or Pro Series II systems, the Vulcan’s recovery system brings advanced functionality to a beginner-friendly model.
