"The Typewriter Sweater gives a modern nod to seaworthy pullovers from ages past. Big-impact textures paired with a boxy cocoon shape make this a cuddle-worthy wardrobe warrior. The linear rhythms of the soothing stitch pattern remind us of the tap-tap-tapping of an old typewriter, comforting and familiar. The simple banded stitch, when worked in a chunky yarn amplifies the nostalgia, like a cartoon version of your favorite sweater. The oversized shape and exaggerated sleeves lean into the feeling of enveloping comfort, while smart design details keep the garment from being overwhelming. Deeply sloped shoulder seams and optional gentle waist tapering in the lower body decrease excess fabric bulk where it isn’t needed.
