TYPE 5 - LUME

WORLD PROOF As for all Ressence watches the expression of Time is fundamental. To achieve the best-ever readability underwater, the complete ROCS 5 module is immersed in 3.57 ml of oil. The use of oil cancels out what is known as Total Internal Reflection. Typically, under water, a traditional diver’s watch needs to be viewed straight on in order to be read properly - otherwise refraction turns the glass into a mirror. The use of oil inside the TYPE 5 ensures complete legibility whatever the angle of view. A first for a mechanical watch. The remarkable capabilities of TYPE 5 do not sacrifice the pleasures of a traditional fine-watchmaking mechanism. The watch is able to withstand extreme conditions - but to do so with the modernist refinement characteristics of Ressence, right down to its seamlessly integrated uni-directional bezel.    CASE MATERIAL: Grade 5 Titanium  Two separate sealed chambers with the upper one filled with 3.57 ml of oil CRYSTAL: Domed sapphire crystals top and bottom with both sides anti-reflective coating SIZE: 46mm (diameter) x 15.5mm (thickness) Uni-directional bezel WATER RESISTANCE: 10 ATM (ISO Certified to 100m)   DIAL Convex Grade 5 Titanium dial (125mm radius) with three eccentric biaxial satellites inclined at 3° (hours) and 4.75° (thermal gauge and runner) Engraved indications filled with blue and green Superluminova   MOVEMENT Patented ROCS 5 - Ressence Orbital Convex System - module driven by the minute axle of a customised 2824/2 base calibre          WINDING: Caseback winding and time setting with RCLS – Ressence Compression Lock System ENERGY: Self-winding Magnetic Transmission Compensating Bellow System POWER RESERVE: 36 hours  FREQUENCY: 28800 V.P.H.
