Twisted Copper Roller Kimberwick

The Twisted Copper Roller Kimberwick Bit features a slow-twist stainless steel mouthpiece, providing enhanced pressure distribution along the bars and tongue for more precise communication through additional contact points. A copper roller encourages salivation and tongue interaction, supporting a softer, more attentive mouth and discouraging leaning. Kimberwick cheekpieces offer mild leverage and curb pressure while supporting steady rein contact. Ideal for horses that resist smoother bits, benefit from interactive roller stimulation, and respond well to a stronger mouthpiece with moderate leverage. Key Features of the Slow Twist Mouthpiece : Enhanced Pressure Distribution : The slow twist design applies pressure on the bars and tongue, providing the rider with additional control through increased contact points, making it effective for horses that resist smoother mouthpieces. Defined Signaling : The gradual twist along the mouthpiece allows for clear, controlled signals, which can help sharpen a horse’s response to rein aids, encouraging quicker reactions. Recommended for Experienced Hands : This design is best suited for skilled riders who can handle the added control carefully, allowing for precise communication without overwhelming the horse. Key Features of the Copper Roller :  Salivation Stimulation : The copper roller encourages salivation, helping maintain a moister, more receptive mouth. Tongue Engagement : The movable roller invites the horse to interact with the bit using its tongue, which may improve attention and mouthing. Discourages Grabbing or Leaning : The roller’s movement can make it harder for the horse to lock against or lean on the bit, promoting more supple contact. Key Features of the Double Jointed Mouthpiece : Even Pressure Distribution: The two joints with a center link reduce palate pressure and distributes contact more evenly across the tongue, bars, and corners of the mouth. Tongue Pressure Variation: The size and shape of the center link influence how much tongue pressure is applied, making it adaptable for horses with different mouth conformations. Greater Mobility: The design allows the mouthpiece to move more freely than a single joint, improving comfort and reducing resistance in many horses. Kimberwick Design Features: Leverage Options: The Kimberwick cheekpieces include multiple rein slot options, allowing the rider to choose different levels of leverage depending on rein placement. This versatility lets riders customize the bit's effect, making it adaptable for a range of horses. Stabilized Positioning: The fixed cheekpieces hold the bit in a steady position within the horse’s mouth, helping maintain consistent pressure and reducing the chance of the bit moving laterally. Gentle Curb Action: When rein pressure is applied, the Kimberwick provides a mild curb action, which can encourage the horse to stay collected and responsive.
