TWIN CAM FXR CONVERSION KIT

The ultimate way to allow your frame to accept a Twin Cam drivetrain and update the remaining foot control & kickstand to modern Dyna parts.  This kit will include an array of brackets, tabs, panels, and mounts allowing you to install an early or late model Twin Cam Touring power train into an FXR chassis. The new main cross member is also designed to accept Dyna foot control mounts and Dyna kickstand components! No longer will you have to deal with crappy bent or rounded lock tab/ear on your FXR kickstand, no more paying for overpriced FXR kickstand parts, and most importantly, having readily available replacement components at almost all H-D dealerships and aftermarket shops. We machine a very solid kickstand stop which gets welded to the bottom of the cross member which guarantees a ton of engagement from the kickstand to ensure it doesn't "pop-out" or bend and cause the kickstand to give or the bike to fall over. A complete kickstand hardware kit can be found here. The new main cross member is designed to also provide clearance for the oil pan. We include two alternatives (both pictured). One is the most common the "Wrap Around" style which will allow you to service your oil pan without removing any other parts on the motorcycle such as the rear wheel, but still sitting low enough to protect the oil bag from speed bumps, curbs, etc. The tubing is a .120" wall DOM used with two gussets. Option two being the removable plate. This basically goes in place of the stock cross member but stronger and removable, again to allow service the transmission oil pan. This option retains an OEM look. Both are included, you can use either or both, your choice. For foot controls, removing the factory left side boxed mount is NOT required but the right peg mount is as it will come out when removing the OEM center cross member and kickstand mount. In its place, this kit includes a left and right side Dyna foot control mounts which are radius cut on the backsides for a nice centered fit on your frame rail. They are threaded to accept Dyna mid controls, opening many more options for brake arms. We also include a plate to fill the void where the oil bag used to live and a top cap for the front engine stabilizer link mount. The oil bag filler plate is solid and can be used to mount many things on the inside such as a coil or wiring accessories. The stabilizer mount top cap is a nice touch to clean up the look of the OEM stabilizer link mount to the frame. 100% MADE IN THE USA Kit includes: Main Center Crossmember Extra Strong Kickstand lock/Stop Wrap Around Crossmember Tubing w/ 2 Tubing Gussets Rear Removable Crossmember Kit w/ Tabs and Chrome Hardware 2 Dyna Foot Control Mounts Oil Bag Filler Plate Front Engine Stabilizer Link Mount Cover Plate Rear Master Cylinder Mounting Tab ('87+ FXR style) Instructions Note: We recommend this kit is installed by a professional. (We can do it for you!) The kit will take much of the guess work out however, it is always recommended that you properly mock up your powertrain and all desired components you intend to run PRIOR to installing the kit components to verify fitment/clearance.
