Bilame, twin-blade opener

A French Classic Since 1949 The Bilame Classic Black is a timeless tool cherished by generations of sommeliers and wine lovers. First patented by L’Atelier du Vin in 1949, this unique corkscrew uses two thin, flexible blades to remove fragile corks without piercing them. A must-have for those who appreciate mature bottles and the delicate ritual of wine service. The Legendary Twin-Blade System Unlike spiral corkscrews that risk crumbling older corks, the Bilame Classic Black uses a twin-blade mechanism. One blade slips between the cork and the bottle on one side, then the other slides into place, allowing the entire cork to be pulled out intact. This ingenious method has become a legend in French wine bars and bistros. How to Use the Bilame Corkscrew 1. Insert the tip of the longer blade gently between the cork and bottle. 2. Follow with the shorter blade on the opposite side. 3. Use short, alternating movements to rock the blades down. 4. Once fully inserted, twist and pull to extract the cork smoothly. The Bilame Classic is not just for opening bottles—it also lets you recork them with the same elegance and ease. Discreet and Durable Design With its matte black metal finish, this corkscrew pays tribute to the tools used by generations of winemakers. Redesigned in our Paris studio, it offers exceptional grip and balance. The minimalist handle and robust construction reflect L’Atelier du Vin’s attention to every detail. For Wine Lovers and Connoisseurs Whether you are a seasoned sommelier or a passionate wine enthusiast, the Bilame Classic Black will elevate your experience. Its ergonomic grip and effortless motion turn each bottle into a refined ritual. Ideal for opening older vintages or fragile corks with grace and precision. A Unique Preservation Tool Want to enjoy a glass without finishing the bottle? The Bilame makes it possible. Simply remove the cork, savor a pour, and reseal it discreetly. The cork remains intact, maintaining the wine’s integrity. Among modern corkscrews, the Bilame is the only one that uncorks and recorks with such finesse.
