Turkish Ney

The Turkish Ney occupies a special place in Middle Eastern music. With a history going back 5000 years to ancient Egypt, the ney remains a staple of Turkish classical music. As end-blown flute, the ney is known as being notoriously difficult to get started with. Modern ones like these have a plastic end cap, which is easier, but still quite challenging for beginners.
