Turkey Call, Longbox, "The Appalachian" TM

Created by National Wild Turkey Federation award-winning call maker, Rick Larnerd, each Mountain Music Game Call is painstakingly hand-crafted, one at a time, to bring out the most attractive feature of every piece of wood used in its construction and tuned to produce authentic-sounding calls. They are highly sought after beautiful pieces of functional art that many collect as well as hunt with. 2020 Call #465 1st Place winner - Division 1 Category 9 - Decorative Box Call Amateur (open) 2020 Call #39 4th Place winner - Division 1 Category 6 - Decorative Box Call (inlaid only) 2021 Call# 2 2nd Place winner - Division 1 Category 1 - Decorative Turkey 2021 Call# 3 3rd Place winner - Division 1 Category 4 - Decorative Turkey 2021 Call# 4 3rd Place winner - Division 1 Category 8 - Decorative Turkey 2021 Call# 5 5th Place winner - Division 1 Category 8 - Decorative Turkey 2024 Call # 533 5th Place winner - Division 2 Category 25 - Deer Calls The, “Appalachian™,” is made with a black walnut striker & base and curly maple rails. Both woods are commonplace throughout Appalachia, an area steeped in turkey hunting tradition. The dark hues of the walnut contrasting with the lighter palette of the curly maple create a combination very pleasing to the ear and eye. This is one of my most popular calls. At 12" long, this call is capable of producing those shrill cadence of yelps which will drive those longbeards crazy! It is especially effective on windy days or when you want the sounds to reach to the farthest ends of your setup. Hand-made inlays are available at an additional cost starting at $50. If I wouldn’t hunt with it myself, I won’t sell it to you. I guarantee it! Please Read ~ The items I create are made by hand, one-at-a-time. While I do use some power tools, this is largely done using tools powered by hand. Because of this, you may see the occasional file or chisel mark, slight asymmetry or other irregularity not normally found in mass-produced, machine-made items. These are not defects, but hallmarks which stand in mute testimony to the item’s hand-made status. As such, they are not grounds for returning the item. If, however, the item does not work as intended, I’ll gladly replace or refund your money.
