Turf Star Ryegrass Seed – 50 lbs

Turf Star Ryegrass Seed is a superior quality perennial ryegrass blend ideal for all golf, sports turf and recreational applications in cool to temperate climates. Turf Star Ryegrass features a dark green color with strong genetics and mechanical purity. Coverage: For overseeding, apply 5–7 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. (50 lbs. covers 10,000 sq. ft.) Application Soil Preparation: Clear the area of weeds, rocks, and debris. Loosen the top 2-3 inches of soil to create a welcoming bed for the seeds. Fertilize: Apply a starter fertilizer like the Lawnifi New Lawn Starter Box to the soil to ensure the seeds have the nutrients they need to grow. Seed Distribution: Spread the seeds evenly across the soil. For large areas, consider using a mechanical spreader; for smaller patches, hand-spreading can be effective. Soil Coverage: Gently rake the area to cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, which helps retain moisture and protect the seed. Watering: Keep the seeded area moist with light, frequent watering until the seeds germinate and the grass begins to grow. Water every day in the early mornings. Post-Care: Continue fertilizing with the Lawnifi New Lawn Starter Box for the next 30 days.
