The Perfect Foundation: Provides a strong, dimensionally stable core to build your custom ring around. Ideal for bentwood, carbon fiber, resin, or other composite ring designs. Exceptional Scratch Resistance: The tungsten carbide interior offers near scratch-proof durability, ensuring the inside of your ring remains pristine even with heavy daily wear. Ready for Bonding: The exterior surface is pre-scuffed, creating the perfect texture for a powerful, permanent bond with your chosen adhesive and exterior material. Comfort & Heft: Tungsten has a satisfying weight and a smooth comfort-fit interior, giving the final ring a substantial, high-quality feel that customers love. Important Crafting Instructions EXTREME HARDNESS: Tungsten Carbide is extremely hard, which means it cannot be resized. Ensure correct sizing before purchase. FINISHING: When finishing your exterior material, be mindful that the exposed liner edges are highly scratch-resistant. We recommend taping the edges to protect them during sanding. DURABLE BUT BRITTLE: While incredibly scratch-resistant, tungsten carbide can be brittle. A sharp impact against a very hard surface (like being dropped on concrete) can cause it to crack or shatter. Creative Applications Bentwood Rings: The popular 8mm width provides a substantial and incredibly durable foundation for your handcrafted bentwood rings. Carbon Fiber & Composite Rings: Use as the core for wrapping carbon fiber to create bold, statement rings with a modern, technical look and a comfortable, weighty interior. Hybrid Designs: The wider profile allows for more complex hybrid designs. Create a wood or resin exterior and add a wide crushed opal inlay flush with the liner's edge for a truly showstopping piece.
