Tulip 'San Martin'

The San Martin Tulip is a mid-to-late spring variety known for its structural reliability and striking, fringed petal edges. Standing on sturdy stems that reach approximately 18 inches in height, this tulip produces large, 4-inch blossoms that transition from a classic egg shape to an elegant, fully open form as they mature. The deep magenta-purple petals are lined with distinct white spikes, a unique fringed characteristic that adds a sense of frost-like sparkle and physical depth to the late-season garden. For the best performance, site these tulips in full sun and well-drained soil, ideally positioned at the front of a border where their intricate details can be appreciated up close. Their strong stems make them equally suited for container gardening and floral arrangements, where the dark violet blooms provide a bold, crisp contrast in freshly cut bouquets. By providing a reliable anchor for the end of the tulip season, San Martin ensures the spring transition is as textured as it is colorful. Does not ship internationally.
