In August 2023, we welcomed a brand new era of knitting with the launch of Tukuwool Fingering, a renewed Finnish wool yarn. This yarn has undergone a transformation that has left us truly excited, and we couldn’t wait to share it with you! The most notable changes are new labels and the skein size, now coming in a generous 100 grams per skein, double the previous size. Alongside this, we made a slight adjustment to the meterage, now 370 meters per 100 gram. These changes weren’t just for aesthetics; they were about efficiency and sustainability. We wanted to create a yarn that not only looks and feels great but is also produced with minimal waste. The result? A yarn that is not only more sustainable but also boasts a consistent quality and a texture that feels natural yet softer than before.
