Tsunami Shield II Spinning Reel

Tsunami Shield II Spinning Reels are a powerful evolution of the original, engineered to deliver smooth, reliable performance while standing up to the punishing demands of saltwater environments. With significant upgrades in water resistance, internal gearing, and drag performance, this second-generation Shield is designed for anglers who need a versatile, corrosion-resistant reel that can handle everything from back bay stripers to light offshore duty. Water-Resistant and Salt-Tough One of the standout features of the Shield II is its enhanced water-resistant construction. With 13 internal seals protecting key components, the reel offers excellent protection against salt and spray—essential for surfcasters, kayak anglers, and inshore fishermen who regularly face wet conditions. The aluminum body and rotor are built for strength, and the anodized finish adds another layer of defense against corrosion. Smooth Power with Refined Control Inside, the Shield II is powered by precision-machined stainless steel gears and a sealed stainless-steel main shaft, offering exceptional torque and long-term durability. The carbon fiber drag system provides smooth, consistent pressure across a wide range, giving you the control needed to battle hard-fighting species like redfish, bluefish, or false albacore without hesitation. The drag is sealed to keep out contaminants and ensure reliable performance under load. Lightweight Feel with Solid Backbone Despite its rugged build, the Shield II remains impressively lightweight, thanks to its carefully balanced design and use of durable but lightweight materials. This makes it ideal for all-day casting sessions, whether you're fan-casting jetties or working structure with soft plastics and plugs. The braid-ready spool eliminates the need for backing, allowing you to maximize line capacity and get the most out of your setup. Dependable in Any Inshore Battle Whether you're fishing from shore, boat, or kayak, the Tsunami Shield II delivers dependable, water-resistant performance in a sleek, affordable package. It’s a reel built to take a beating, stay smooth, and give you the confidence to cast into tough conditions where the fish are feeding. For inshore anglers who demand durability without breaking the bank, the Shield II stands tall as a reel that’s ready for action.
